Chase Irvin (born 1991 in Los Angeles, CA) is a trained architectural designer and visual artist currently living in Oakland, CA.
Irvin's art is rooted in navigating her queer identity and Blackness in spaces that belong to her and are others designed to exclude her. Irvin's work is a practice of self exploration and vulnerability -- that leans into psychological transparency as a form of creative expression and resistance. She muses with the mundane and emotional insights of her life to narrate her paintings and thread her world into the human experience.
Irvin's work in architecture has focused in single-family high-end residential design. She has worked in firms in Los Angeles and San Francisco, with projects located in the Greater Los Angeles County and Bay Area. Samples of architectural work can be provided upon request.
